Gravalicious Eats

food and flavours that bring us home.

gra - va - li - cious

glutinous, greedy, craven, to eat with the eyes

Because food, memories and family are simply intertwined.

It all begins with our first memory sitting around the kitchen table, when we learn food is a relationship. Something that can bond us, soothe us or leave us at any moment. It is the story we tell ourselves; a time stamp of memories. A reminder of loss, of love and change.

I can still taste my Dearma’s chocolate cake, the way the batter would stick to my five year old fingers. How soft and sweet its texture was. It is a homecoming of a memory. A reminder of what was and what could have been.

Food follows me; as the feelings fall into every flavour, spice and herb.

This is Gravalicous.

A collection of recipes, stories, cooking lessons and more.

Let’s eat together,

Lee.
